Highlighted blonde hair- now gold colour! I want it to be a very light blonde tho- can i dye it agai

I highlighted my hair for the first time ever becuase it was gettign dull, my hair is lightish blonde but the front was darker and duller. It went a weird fake yellow gold colour which didnt look terrible but it didnt look great.

Does anyone know what colour or type of stuff i shoudl use to make it more light "platinum" blonde?

Just highlights- and will it work over the already highlighted parts? I highlighted it about 7 weeks ago btw.

but if I were you I would go to a professional and have them do it...at least this way you can get the exact color you want , and you hair will not fall out

First of all, you need to go to a salon if you don't want super fried hair. They have to do a color correction, and then they can add the highlights. do-at-home blond hair dies cause way to much damage to the hair. don't do it your self again. Once it is fixed go in to the salon for all the root touch ups.

no you have to wait about 2 weeks but what you can do is go and buy a "toner" which will take the yellow to a golden blonde then in a few weeks try to dye it again but becareful on this you dont want to over process your hair its easy to get to blonde but its a pain to take care of over processed hair good luck and in order to get platium blonde the hair needs to be based red first or it can turn green so go to a place called "sallys" and ask around they have lots of helpful hints

I went to a salon and the hairdresser FRIED MY hair. She FORGOT she'd put the color on my hair and went to look after another customer....That's why I asked the question... Whats the best conditioner to use on over proccessed hair. Don't do it. let your hair grow out first. then, think about what you want to do. I learned the hard way and I'm having a terrible time with my once beautiful hair.

of course you can dye it again just use a light toned rusty blonde for enhancement,best of luck.

I'm 42 %26amp; I've only had 2 friends who could auctually achieve platinum, because of their natural hair color to begin with. If you redye, you'll dry it out. Try temporary hair colors.

People like to save money and do things themselves, but this is actually why all perms and dyes should be done by a professional. if you want to save money, you can just get the perm or the dye but no style done. I would think that if you dye it again with a blond highlights/Dye kit, it would be the color you want since you're already half the way there with yellow-gold hair.

There is no way you can acheive platinum blonde hair by yourself with at home box dyes. If you want platinum blonde, you have to go to a professional. Aka, a salon. It's good it's already been 7 weeks, but for future reference whatever you do, DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR AGAIN!! lol. It will only fry your hair more. You have to wait at least 4-6 weeks before dying it again, even when you go to the salon to get your platinum. Dying it twice with that at home stuff wont do any good. It's just not the right product.
