I want highlights that look as natural as possible, what should I have my hairstylist do to my hair?

Have them do a whole head foil with highlights and low lights, each just 1 shade off from your natural hair color.

I don't know what color your hair is, but make sure you ask to look at color swatches! She will match your hair to a swatch, then let you compare lighter hair swatches to your hair to see what you like best...usually 2 levels lighter looks more natural. :-)

best thing is to use some peroxide a few times a month it will make wonderful look on your hair.

If your hairstylist is doing it, it won't look natural.

Make it VERY clear you don't want a dramatic change. Pick two colors very close to your natural hair color. (keep in mind you don't want colors that are going to make your eye brows look too dark with your new highlights) Tell your hairstylist you don't want chunks of color but you do want it all over (under your hair too) but for it to be very subtle. Keep in mind your skin tone too and what colors are natural. (warm or cool tones)

Take a baby picture to you hairstylist. Baby hair is usually lighter than adult hair. It you hair is longer, choose the color at the ends of your hair. Another option is to not only get highlights, but have your hair colored all the way around. Your hairstylist can also use multiple colors. GOOD LUCK!

take a picture of how you want it to look to the hairdressers and ask for the senior sylist/ colourist to do it using either foils or that funny cap with holes in...
